I don't get why my mom's simple

"Wish you a happy Birthday and good luck with the exams"

brought me a little tingle and tears to my eyes.

Happy that she remembers/cares,

sad that she's not physically here, a bit.

Just realised its the going to be the first Birthday I'll spend abroad,

it's strange.

Looks like there's many years of this to come...
